Description. Male. Body small, medium for the tribe Meconematini . Head stout and short, fastigium verticis conical, with a longitudinal sulcus, apex rounded. Fastigium frontis slightly slopping. Eyes oval, distinctly protruding forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi as long as subapical one, apex broadened.

Pronotum short, with anterior margin lightly protruding, posterior margin rounded; posterior transversal sulcus distinct, located near the middle, metazona as long as prozona; lateral lobes longer than high, humeral sinus indistinct. Tegmina longer, surpassing apices of postfemora, hind wings slightly longer than tegmina. All femora without spines on ventral surface; procoxae with a spine, tibial tympana open on both sides, long-ovoid; protibiae with long spines, the apical area of protibiae broken. Mesotibiae with 5 spines and 6 spines on inner and outer margins of ventral surface separately. Posttibiae with 25–27 spines on both sides of dorsal surface, two pairs of ventral apical spurs and one pair of dorsal apical spurs.

Tenth abdominal tergite short, posterior margin slightly concave. Cerci with basal half broad, thin chip-shaped, slightly longitudinally curled, ventral margin of basal area with a triangular lobe; the middle area separated into 2 branches, dorsal branch broad and short, apex rounded; ventral one thin and long, directing ventro-inwards, apex rounded. Subgenital plate with basal area broad, concave; narrowing, posterior margin obtusely rounded. Styli conical, located on subapex near lateral margins. Genitalia membranous.

Coloration. Body brown. Occiput black. First and second segments of antennae black. Disc of pronotum black. Lateral margins of abdomen blackish brown. Tegmina brown, with some blackish brown spots. Genicular lobes of postfemora with apical area black.

Female. Unknown.

Measurements (mm). Body (apex of fastigium verticis to posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite): ♂ 12.5; pronotum: ♂ 4.0; tegmina: ♂ 21.0; postfemora: ♂ 12.7.

Type material. Holotype: ♂, Medog , Xizang, 29 June 2014, collected by Zhou Zhi Jun.

Remarks. The new species differs from the known species of the subgenus Xizicus (Zangxizicus) in the morphology of male cerci and subgenital plate.

Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from male cercus morphology. Distribution. China (Xizang).
