Basionym:— Velascoa pueblensis Flores-Barragan & Ortega-Chavez (Figs. 3 and 4.), Journal of South American Earth Sciences 110 (103408): 4, 2021.
Type:— CFZ-MTZ542. MEXICO. Coatepec, municipality of Caltepec, state of Puebla. Repository : Paleontological Collection of the FES Zaragoza , UNAM (holotype) . CFZ-MTZ142, 208, 531, 543 (1), 553, 745 (Paratypes) .
Occurrence: Permian Matzitzi Formation, the type material was obtained from meter 21 to 23 of the referred rock sequence in the zone. This location is also available at the Paleontological Collection of the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Zaragoza.
