Remarks. Valgothrombium tarnavense remains the only member of Valgothrombium in which the tarsal claw formula (3-3-3) deviates from the generic diagnosis. Due to the possible misinterpretation of the character, the actual number of claws should be verified as soon as the redescription of the species is possible, which was also postulated by Baker (1999). Other characters, which should undergo the critical reappraisal, pertain to the chaetotaxy of legs.
