mallorcensis ( Haitlinger, 2003) [LV]
Canpicathrombium mallorcensis Haitlinger, 2003: 140 .
Valgothrombium mallorcensis: Haitlinger 2008: 391 .
Distribution. Spain (Mallorca).
Remarks. Haitlinger (2003) pointed to the lack of hypostomalae in the newly described species. In the holotype of V. mallorcensis we can confirm the presence of short hypostomalae, typical for members of the genus. Scutum has the anterior protrusion in the type specimen. The shape of scutellum ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 7 – 18 ), almost rectangular in outline and wider (LSS = 78) than long (HS = 55), also varies from that given in the original description. Of the other characters, which were not listed in the original description, the presence of six normal setae (n) on femur I as well as the presence of vestigiala (κ) on tibia I, are included in the here verified diagnosis of the species. The lack of famulus (ε) on tarsus I as well as the presence of vestigiala (κ) on genu II cannot be confirmed due to the quality of the slide. Granular cuticular structures are present on idiosoma.
