Description. Material examined. Holotype male: Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul State, São Sepé, July-August 2013, light trap in forest, M. R. Spies (MZUSP).

Measurements. Male: total length, 6.4 mm; forewing length, 7.2 mm, antennae length, 6.9 mm; antennomere, 39; head length, 0.88 mm; head width, 0.89 mm; cercus length, 1.6 mm; cercus, 13 mm.

Adult habitus. Male ( Figs. 1–3 View FIGURES 1 – 3 ). General colour light brown to ochraceous. Pronotum lighter than head. Pleural area of thorax brownish. Tarsi and tibiae lighter. Wings similar in color as body, with darker veins and crossveins; lacking pterostigmatic crossveins. T10 extension divided into two medium teeth, each ending in a ventrally curved apex ( Figs. 1– 3 View FIGURES 1 – 3 ). Subgenital plate triangular ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 3 ). Paraprocts with a subterminal enlargement and a lateral spine, terminating in a rounded apex ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 3 ).

Remarks. The T10 extension of T. sepeensis resembles that of T. tesselata . However, T. sepeensis is distinguished by the complex male paraprocts. The paraprocts have a subterminal enlargement with prominent lateral projection as a spine ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 3 ), a unique character.

Etymology. The name makes reference to São Sepé county, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, where the holotype was collected.
