Remarks: Trachycarcinus mossai . share.with. Trachycarcinus elegans . (see. above),. the. same. combination. of. characters.unique.to. Trichopeltarion .and.is,.likewise,. transferred. to. Trichopeltarion . Trichopeltarion moosai . was. previously.known. only. from. the. holotype.male. from.the.Makassar.Strait..The.discovery.in.Tanimbar. of.four.additional.individuals.allowed.for.the.confirmation.of.some.characteristic.features.of. T. moosai ,.including.central.rostral.tooth.longer.than.laterals.ones;. strong. hepatic,. first,. and. second. epibranchial. teeth;. two.strong,.acute.tubercles.in.front.of.the.protogastric. region;. two. large. cardiac. bosses,. covered. with. fine. granules;. and. metabranchial. regions. with. two. distinct.tubercles.each,.lateral.larger.than.mesial.(figure 21A-B)..The.female.carry.few.(25).and.large.eggs,. of.about. 1.5 mm.
Distribution:. Known. from. Indonesia,. between. 313. and.666.meters.depth.
