Etymology. In memory of the social leader Horacio Triana, defended the Serranía de las Quinchas Natural Park, located between the departments of Boyacá and Santander (in the Middle Valley of the Magdalena River) to prevent the entry of illegal armed groups. A community leader in the village of El Carmen, in the municipality of Otanche, located in western Boyacá, who was assassinated on July 20, 2018.
