COMMON NAME (S): Frosted Owl.
SYNONYM(S): Ophiusa daedalea Mabille, 1879a ; Dysgonia maeandrica Saalm ̧ller, 1891.

DISTRIBUTION: Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Nigeria, Réunion, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include Mangifera indica (Anacardiaceae) , Sapium ellipticum (Euphorbiaceae) and Ziziphus mucronate (Rhamnaceae) .
