Figs. 1–4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 , 86 View FIGURES 86 – 89

Material examined. Holotype. BRAZIL: Alagoas, Murici , Estação Ecológica de Murici , 9°15’S; 35°51’W, 13– 22.IX.2003, Equipe Biota leg., 1M ( IBSP 166147). Paratype. BRAZIL:, same data as the holotype, 1F ( IBSP 166148).

Etymology. The species name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.

Diagnosis. The male of Thymoites murici n. sp. resembles that of T. cravilus Marques & Buckup (see Marques & Buckup, 1992: figs. 1–4) by the shape of the carapace modified in ocular area ( Figs. 2, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ), but differs in the pattern and shape of the carapace in lateral view ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ), in the trajectory of the sperm duct in the tegulum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) and tegulum without apical projection. The female of Thymoites murici n. sp. is close to T. cravilus (see Marques & Buckup, 1992: figs. 5, 6) by the long coiled copulatory duct, but differs from it in the wider copulatory opening and more separated from each other ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ).
