Teinoptila guttella Moriuti, 1977 View in CoL
Teinoptila guttella Moriuti, 1977: 206 View in CoL . Type locality: China ( Taiwan), Japan.
Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the gnathal arm with a pair of fingerlike processes in the male genitalia ( Moriuti, 1977). It is similar to T. brunnescens in the female genitalia, and the differences between them were discussed under the latter species.
Remarks. The description of Teinoptila guttella Moriuti was based on one specimen from Chinese Taiwan designated as the holotype, and two Japanese specimens designated as paratypes. Unfortunately, we did not collect this species during our expedition to Taiwan in 2006.
Distribution. China ( Taiwan), Japan.
