Diagnosis. MALE. Clypeus preapically with nearly semicircular, transversely concave area. Scape with two well developed carinae, distance between carinae more than 0.5 × scape width; flagellomere 1 subequal to flagellomere 2. Tergum 2 posteriorly and tergum 3 with band of dense yellow setae. Sternum 2 with short lateral felt line (sometimes reduced to a few microsetae). Volsellar cuspis apex with long dense setae; penial valve apically hooklike. Body black; metasomal segments 1–3 ferruginous-red. Body length 8.5–17.0 mm. FEMALE. Gena posteriorly without carina, with short pointed tubercle posterior to insertion of mandible. Scutellar scale very small, pointed. Tergum 2 anteriorly with bilateral circular yellow setal spots. Tergum 3 closed with dense yellow setae. Pygidial area smooth, distinctly carinate laterally. Body black; metasomal segments 1–3 and legs ferruginous-red. Body length 5.0–7.0 mm.
