Coulon, MNP, CJM ; 1 ♂, Hormozgan, Kuh-e Geno, Bagh Tang , 410 m, 7–8.v.1977, Pazuki leg., HMIM ; 1 ♀, Hormozgan, Angorhan, SE Minab , 24.iv.2002, M. Rejzek leg., identified by T. Kopeckı, 2010 as sudanensis Schatzmayr & Koch, 1934 (this name is synonymous with conspicua ), CDW ; 1 ♀, Yemen, Ta’izz , 10.01.2001, A.van Harten & A.R. Yarimi leg., Felix det., CJM .
Remarks: This species is even bigger and more convex than the preceding one; the colour is similar but the brown spot along the elytral suture is more developed. The distance between the 8 th stria and interval 9 is wider after the second humeral seta. Head and pronotum are dull with microsculpture. The lateral sides of the cordiform pronotum are clearly sinuated. 1 st –3 rd striae of elytra are deepened and punctated.
Distribution. Iran, and widely from North Afrika to the Middle East.
