ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1865c: 212 (key), 215 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Apennino Parmensi [Parmese Apennines ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype (missing left fore-leg) ( MZUF: Box 13): Tachina Mgn / latifrons Rnd. / 675.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Exorista (Exorista) fasciata ( Fallén, 1820) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 121) .
REMARKS: Rondani (1865c: 215) described Tachina latifrons from a single male: “ Marem unicum legi [I collected a single male]”.
