Etymology. The species was named for the wife of the author and ' josephinae ' is a latinized noun used in the genitive case.
Type material. Holotype ♂, PHILIPPINES, Luzon I., Camarines Sur Prov, Nabua , XI.1978, off coconut palm, J. Patola ( BPBM #11,942 About BPBM ).
Distribution. Philippines, Borneo, Indonesia, Thailand. Yang & Wu (1993) reported this species from Taiwan. However, the drawings and description by these authors seem to suggest a different and new species.
