Measurements. Male 3.45–3.55 mm long and 1.15–1.25 mm wide across eyes; female 3.80–3.85 mm long and 1.12–1.30 mm wide across eyes.

Head and thorax (color). Ground color ochraceous with brown markings. Crown ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) with pair of elliptical dark brown spots equally distant between eyes and median line, and with median line bearing brown macula, all of them contiguous to facial ones. Face ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 23 – 33 ) with conspicuous inverted brown Y-shaped macula; area adjacent to ocelli dark brown followed by brown maculae; pair of brown maculae adjacent to upper margin of compound eyes. Frontoclypeus ( Fig.32 View FIGURES 23 – 33 ) with several irregular brown maculae forming pair of lateral rows; clypellus pale brown with brown median stripe; genae ochraceous with dark brown, elongate maculae on adjacent antennal ledges; lora pale brown with inner margin dark brown. Pronotum ( Figs 17–18 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) with five markings as follows: one brown line contiguous to coronal median macula, and attaining the pronotal posterior margin; one pair of small maculae at anterior area, and one pair of large spots at lateral area of disc, dark brown. Mesoscutum ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ), pale brown with pair of brown laterobasal triangular markings, scuto-scutellar suture dark brown; mesoscutellum pale brown. Forewings ( Figs 17–18 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) pale brown with veins brown, and some longitudinal areas of cells paler. Morphology. As in I. delta .

Male genitalia. Pygofer ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 34 – 41 ), in lateral view, with posterior margin narrowing towards bifid apex, and directed inward; in caudal view ( Fig. 83 View FIGURES 70 – 85 ) projection with crenulate dorsal margin, caudoventral margin sinuate. Styles ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 42 – 53 ), in dorsal view, well developed, outer fork very large, subtruncate, longer than inner fork, with subapical digitiform process, bearing scattered setae; inner fork with truncate apex, bearing digitiform process directed outwards. Connective as in I. delta . Aedeagus ( Figs 59 View FIGURES 54 – 61 , 67 View FIGURES 62 – 69 ) with well developed dorsal apodeme 0.33 times as long as shaft in lateral view, and prominent ventral projection; shaft in ventral view, almost straight; bearing anterolateral foliaceous expansion at left side with crenulate margin; gonopore apical, on ventral margin; apex rounded. Anal tube ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 34 – 41 ), with segment X simple, without any process; segment XI with bifid spiniform process on ventral margin.

Intraspecific variation. Some individuals have paler ground color with facial and pronotal markings darker.

Material examined. MADAGASCAR: 1 3, 2 Ƥ, Province d’Antsiranana, Parc National Montagne, d’Ambre, 1125 m, 29 January to 11 February 2001, 12o31’ 13”S, 49o10’45”E, California Acad Science, R.
