Stigmatium fasciatoventre Chevrolat : LECTOTYPE (here designated): Moreton Bay / Coll Chevr / Sedillot ( MNHN). Stigmatium flavescens Chevrolat : LECTOTYPE (here designated): Australia / Coll. Chevr- Sedillot ( MNHN). Xestonotus eximius Kuwert : HOLOTYPE (fixed by monotypy): Kuwert Type / [other label data not noted] ( MNHUB).

Remarks. A specimen of Xestonotus eximius Kuwert in MNHN labelled " TYPE / Austral. (Mc. Coy) / ex Musaeo A Kuwert" cannot be considered part of the type series as Kuwert (1894: 444) stated there to be " 1 Exemplar im Museum zu Berlin" (see ICZN 1999, Article 73.1.2).
