Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. (S.) hirticeps Wang, Gao, & Chen, 2013 in the shape of male terminalia (as fig. 5 in Wang et al. 2013, Fig. 59 View FIGURE 59 ), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the surstylus with 1 peg-like tooth near distal margin ( Fig. 59A, B View FIGURE 59 ); the subepandrial sclerite vaulted, bifurcated basally per side, roundly expanded distally ( Fig. 59G View FIGURE 59 ).

Description. Male and female: First flagellomere brown. Clypeus yellow. Mesonotum dark brown medially, brownish laterally ( Fig. 13C View FIGURE 13 ). Katepisternum yellowish ( Fig. 13D View FIGURE 13 ). Scutellum mostly yellow, brown anteromedially ( Fig. 13C View FIGURE 13 ). Halter mostly brownish ( Fig. 13D View FIGURE 13 ). Fore femur with a row of 4 long setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown to black ( Fig. 13C, D View FIGURE 13 ); sternites brown in male, yellow in female, about 2.2 times as wide as long. Male terminalia ( Fig. 59 View FIGURE 59 ): Epandrium with ca. 8 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side ( Fig. 59A View FIGURE 59 ). Surstylus with some minute, serrated processes on outer surface and setulae near distal margin, lacking pubescence ( Fig. 59A View FIGURE 59 ). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 59A View FIGURE 59 ). Hypandrium roundly expanded anteromedially ( Fig. 59C, D View FIGURE 59 ). Pregonite small, with 2 sensilla ( Fig. 59C, D View FIGURE 59 ). Aedeagus with much pubescence distomedially ( Fig. 59C, D View FIGURE 59 ). Aedeagal sheath distally dorsad curved and with several minute, serrated processes ( Fig. 59E, F View FIGURE 59 ).
