Type material. CHINA, Guangxi: Holotype ♂ , Mt. Daming , 1250 m, 20.V.2011, leg. LL Yang & YH Mou, slide No. GW 13061 . Paratypes. 8♂ 4♀, 20–29.V.2011, other same data as holotype, slide Nos. GW 13010 ♂, WAL19130 ♂, GW13062 ♀, GW13063 ♀.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to S. xanthostigma sp. nov. in the features of the genitalia. It can be distinguished from S. xanthostigma sp. nov. by the valva straight on the dorsal margin, obtusely rounded at apex and the oval juxta narrowly rounded on the posterior margin; in the female genitalia by the appendix bursae with 18 denticles. In S. xanthostigma sp. nov., the valva is slightly concave at middle of the costal margin and obtusely oblique at apex in the male genitalia; the appendix bursae has 28 denticles in the female genitalia.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13‒19 ). Wingspan 9.5–11.0 mm. Head with frons and vertex yellowish white, occiput blackish brown. Labial palpus yellowish white on inner surface, second segment pale yellowish brown on outer surface, third segment darker. Antenna with scape pale yellow; flagellum pale yellow alternated with black. Thorax blackish brown in anterior 1/3, yellow in posterior 2/3, with a rounded blackish brown spot posteromedially; tegula blackish brown. Forewing dark brown, basal fascia blackish brown, rectangular above fold, narrowly banded below fold; a large yellow subbasal patch running from outer margin of basal fascia to basal 1/3; in one paratype, forewing with a rounded yellow spot beyond basal 1/2 medially; fringe dark brown. Hindwing and fringe dark brown. Legs pale yellow; foreleg with tibia and tarsus blackish brown on outer surface; midleg with tibia with blackish brown spot in basal half and at apex dorsally, with dark brown bristles at middle and apex, tarsus blackish brown on dorsal surface; hindleg with tibia with long dark brown bristles at apex, tarsus dark brown on dorsal surface, with brown bristles at apices of basal three tarsomeres. Tegumen broad, height twice length of uncus. Valva sub-rectangular, straight on dorsal margin, obtusely rounded at apex; costa thumb-shaped; inner process short clubbed; sacculus 4/5 length of valva, slightly concave at basal 1/4 on ventral margin. Vinculum narrowly banded; saccus inverted triangular, clubbed in distal 2/3, obtusely rounded apically, half length of uncus. Juxta oval, narrowly rounded on anterior and posterior margins; anellar lobes elliptical, about same length as juxta, with long setae. Aedeagus 1.5 times length of valva, almost uniformly wide in basal 4/5, tapered from distal 1/5 to apex, with a sclerotized plate near base; distal process clubbed, spatulate distally, 1/3 length of aedeagus; cornutus absent.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 60 View FIGURES 57‒61 ). Intersegmental membrane between papillae anales and eighth abdominal segment approximately three times length of papillae anales. Apophyses posteriores approximately twice length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth segment straight and with long setae on posterior margin; eighth tergite obtusely rounded anteriorly; eighth sternite concave in V-shape anteromedially. Antrum funnel-shaped, weakly sclerotized. Ductus bursae almost uniform, approximately 1.2 times length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae elongate elliptical, with dense granules; signum bow-shaped, located at middle. Appendix bursae originating from transition of corpus bursae and ductus bursae, broad and with about 18 denticles; bulla elliptically dilated, located at distal 1/3; ductus seminalis granulous distally.

Distribution. China (Guangxi).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin para- and the name of another species xanthostigma , referring to the similarity of the two species.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to S. paraxanthostigma sp. nov., and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 15a View FIGURES 13‒19 ). Wingspan 6.0‒ 8.5 mm. Head with frons yellowish white; vertex ochreous yel- low; occiput blackish brown. Labial palpus yellowish white on inner surface, pale yellowish brown on outer surface, third segment darker. Antenna with scape ochreous yellow, dark brown along posterior margin; flagellum blackish brown. Thorax blackish brown, with a U-shaped shining yellow marking medially; tegula blackish brown. Forewing dark brown; basal fascia black, rectangular in anterior 1/3, narrowly banded in posterior 2/3; large ochreous yellow subbasal patch running from outer margin of basal fascia to basal 1/3; fringe dark brown. Hindwing and fringe dark brown. Foreleg blackish brown; midleg greyish yellow, tibia with long brown bristles at middle and apex on dorsal surface, tarsus dark brown on dorsal surface; hindleg with tibia ochreous, with long brown bristles at apex, tarsus purplish brown, with brown bristles at apices of basal three tarsomeres. Abdomen dark brown on dorsal surface, greyish yellow on ventral surface.

Variations. Adults of the specimens collected from Hainan varies: The forewing has a longitudinal yellow streak running from middle along posterior margin of cell to basal 3/4, and the ventral margin has a longitudinal yellow streak from beyond middle to basal 3/4 ( Fig. 15b View FIGURES 13‒19 ). However, their genitalia are identical to those collected from other localities.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 39‒45 ). Uncus wide at base, narrowed to apex, with long setae laterally, distal 1/4 beak-shaped in lateral view. Gnathos lingulate, with a small pointed process medioapically. Tegumen broad, height 1.5 times length of uncus. Valva sub-rectangular, slightly concave at middle of costal margin, obtusely oblique at apex; costa thumb-shaped; inner process short clubbed; sacculus 3/4 length of valva, slightly concave at basal 1/3 on ventral margin. Vinculum narrowly banded; saccus inverted sub-trapezoidal, obtuse apically, 1/3 length of uncus. Juxta tur- binate, broadly obtuse on posterior margin, narrowly rounded anteriorly; anellar lobes elliptical, about same length as juxta, with long setae. Aedeagus 1.5 times length of valva, tapered from base to apex, with a sclerotized plate near base; distal process clubbed, rounded at apex, 1/4 length of aedeagus; cornutus absent.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 61 View FIGURES 57‒61 ). Intersegmental membrane between papillae anales and eighth abdominal segment approximately 2.5 times length of papillae anales.Apophyses posteriores approximately 1.5 times length of apophyses anteriores. Ductus bursae almost uniform, approximately 1.2 times length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae nearly pearshaped, with dense granules; signum at anterior 1/3, widely U-shaped. Appendix bursae originating from transition of corpus bursae and ductus bursae, broad and with about 28 denticles; bulla roundly dilated, located at distal 1/3; ductus seminalis granulous distally.

Distribution. China (Hainan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Yunnan).
