Sphecosesia rhodites Kallies & Arita, 2004 View in CoL
( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12 – 13 )
This species was described from northern Vietnam ( Kallies & Arita 2004). Here we report it from China for the first time. A single male was attracted to a strong mercury vapour light in the Nanling Mountains. It does not differ significantly from the Vietnamese specimens. This specimen represents the first record of the genus Sphecosesia from China. Other species recorded as Sphecosesia ( Yang & Wang 1989, Xu et al. 1999, Yang et al. 2003) belong to the genus Teinotarsina (compare Kallies & Arita 2004, Pühringer & Kallies 2014).
Material examined. 1♂, Prov. Guangdong, Shaoguang, Nanling, 1100 m, 2.–6.VII.2012 (Gen. Prep. AK 732, Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12 – 13 , CAK).
