Etymology. The specific species name is derived from the Latin word “ testudo ” and refers to the characteristically shaped body of the species.
Diagnosis. Only one species in the genus. See diagnosis of genus.
Description. Total length 0.64–0.72 cm.
Head. Vertex: proportion A/B = 1.21–1.36; anterior margin (in dorsal view) strongly convex; lateral margins almost straight and parallel; posterior margin concave. Frons: proportion C/E = 0.63–0.67; proportion D/E = 1.00– 1.04. Frontoclypeal suture almost straight. Clypeus partly convex in median portion.
Thorax. Pronotum: proportion F/B = 1.02–1.16; anterior margin in median portion almost straight; posterior margin shallowly concave.
Mesonotum: proportion G/F = 2.18–2.36, proportion G/B+F = 1.16–1.25, proportion G/H = 0.80–0.86; scutellum with sharp apex.
Tegmina: proportion I/J = 2.16–2.38.
Remarks. The holotype was completely covered with white wax fibres, which melted under the heat of a lighting power supply.
Coloration. General coloration from light to dark brown with yellowish patches, abdomen yellow to dirty yellow/muddy yellow, genital capsule a little darker; posterior margin of gonoplac and teeth dark brown.
