Notes: Ott (2009) mentioned that he obtained from UPS Herbarium (Uppsala, Sweden), a long list of Sirodotia species from different parts of the world (11 of the 24 were already described) and the rest were treated as nomina inedita. S. moniliformis is one of these nomina inedita taxa. Dr. Svengunnar Ryman, Curator, Uppsala University Museum, Sweden (pers. comm.) informed us that the Indian specimen of S. moniliformis is not found in UPS, which has been confirmed by the coauthor Necchi in a recent visit to UPS herbarium. Consequently, the status of this species remains uncertain.
