Handel-Mazzetti & Janchen in Handel-Mazzetti et al. (1905: 430) cited many localities in the protologue. Richter’s specimen from Bled in Slovenia [“Veldes”] is designated here as lectotype as one of the most representative specimens, having both fruits and flowers. Other specimens belonging to the original material that are found are syntypes. Specimens collected in Slovenia (Otlica [“Ottelza”] by Feriantschitsch) and Croatia (Kamenjak by Tommasini) cited in the protologue were not found.
