Distribution and Habitat ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ): — Senecio praeruptorum occurs in the Andes of Bolivia and Peru, at elevations of 3000–4000 m.

Note:—While Cabrera (1985) designated the lectotype in S, there are two duplicates there. The specimen with Cabrera’s ‘determinavit’ slip is here designated as the lectotype of the name.
