Lectotype (designated here):— CHINA. Shaanxi: Zhenba , 5 December 1973, S. Y. Qiao 65 ( NF barcode 17003876!, isolectotypes NF barcodes 17003875!, 17003877!, 17003879!, 17003880!, 17003881!, 17003882!).
Nomenclatural notes:—The gathering S. Y. Qiao 65 indicated by the authors as type, consists of 7 specimens kept in NF. The specimen with NF barcode 17003876 is better preserved than the other 6 specimens, hence is here designated as the lectotype.
Taxonomic notes:—This species is currently accepted in the Flora of China (Wang & Stapleton 2006) as Indocalamus bashanensis (Chu & Chao) Zhao & Yang (1985: 465) .
