Genital styles oval; proximal dorsal process short and slender; distal dorsal process long. Apical part of aedeagus very short, slightly impressed dorsally, and with a small membranous lobe at the tip.
Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (niger, -gra, -grum = black).
Type material. Holotype ♂ (forewing 3.7 mm), PAPUA NEW GUINEA; labels: 1) WEST NEW GUINEA/ Star Mts. Sibil Val./ 1245 m, 18.X–8.XI.'61 2) S. Quate &/ L. Quate / Collectors ( BPBM).
Distribution. New Guinea.
Diagnosis. Saccharodite nigra shows similarities with Sa. aucta sp. nov. also from New Guinea. However, it can be recognized by the very dark clypeus and mesonotum and the strongly infuscated forewings.
