Note: —This species has more numerous and strong prickles, is more glabrous than R. apetalus , and has rounded leaflets with less sharp, regular serrature; leaves 5- to 9-foliolate, often like a rose leaf; the inflorescence is more open and narrowly pyramidal. The taxon can be distinguished from R. apetalus at first sight.
