Distribution ( Figs 1A–1C View FIGURE 1 , black circles). Hokkaido (northern, eastern and central areas), South Kuril, Sakhalin.
Habitat. The adults of the species were collected in mountain areas near springs, waterfalls, and small streams up to several meters wide.
Species group. This species was placed in the Rhyacophila sibirica Species Group ( Lukyanchenko 1993).
Japanese name. Arefin-nagare-tobikera.
