1. Rhizoryssomus ruficollis Hofmann, 1972
Rhizoryssomus ruficollis Hofmann, 1972: 84 –85 (original description; morphological details and male genitalia figured).
Type material: Holotype, 1 ex., Hofmann Collection, Chile.
Geographical distribution: Chile.
Remarks. Hofmann (1972) reports that the type material was from Chile, but without exact locality and is somewhat damaged, lacking the last abdominal ventrites. The shape and color of this species are characteristic, as well as pubescence. He also commented that this genus could be near Coccidulini , especially Dioria , rather than Cranophorini. According to González in his web site Coccinellidae de Chile, the type is lost.
