Description. Male. This species has many characteristics in common with R. xuandan ( Fig. 3A, C View FIGURE 3 ). The characteristics below are evidently distinct. Pronotum: pronotum slenderer rather than with more obvious spots derived from shed setae. Genitalia: ectophallic apodeme and ramus are similar to Rhicnogryllus xuandan , joined by an arc-shaped and obviously sclerotized bridge, pseudepiphallus separated into two lateral parts and posterior apex of pseudepiphallus forming feebly sclerotized lophi with dentated inner margins, pseudepiphallic parameres triangular ( Fig. 3D, E View FIGURE 3 ).

Female. Similar to male ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ), ovipositor little curved ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ), finely denticulate on both sides.

Coloration. Overall body colour light yellow appearing glossy red in dorsal view. Basal part of pronotum brownish red, other parts pale yellow with red parallel stripes. Cerci yellow. Ovipositor dark brown ventrally.

Measurement (mm). Male: SZ 4.17–4.31, PR 0.82–1.05, HF 3.52–3.77; Female: SZ 4.57–5.49, PR 0.82– 1.02, HF 3.85–4.58, OV 1.77–1.83.
