Holotype: Adult female ( BMNH 1946.8.21.73), collected by A. White. Type locality (by subsequent designation, Stevens 1974): Mt. Mulanje, southern Malawi.

Variation in adult coloration of an adult male ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 A) and adult female ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 B), and evergreen forest habitat in the Lichenya plateau region, are shown ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C).
