Isopsera brachystylata Liu & Wang, 1998 . Henan Science, 16(1): 71. Holotype: male, China: Henan Prov. (MISE, Shanghai).

Additional description: Male. Stridulatory file cambered, with about 99 teeth, becoming smaller towards both apices; basal half with closely arranged 45 indistinct teeth, apical half with 54 comparatively distinct teeth gradually ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 31 – 41 ). Male stridulatory area of right tegmen with indistinct mirror occupied by many irregular veinlets ( Figs. 24 View FIGURES 19 – 24 ).

Measurements (mm): Length of body: male 21.0–25.0, female 21.0–27.0; length of pronotum: male 4.2– 4.5, female 4.5–4.8; width of pronotum: male 3.0, female 4.0; length of tegmen: male 28.0–30.0, female 26.0– 30.0; largest width of tegmen: male 7.5, female 7.5–8.5; length of anterior femur: male 7.0, female 6.5; length of anterior tibiae: male 8.5, female 8.5; length of mid femur: male 10.5, female 9.0; length of mid tibiae: male 10.5, female 10.0; length of posterior femur: male 19.0–22.5, female 19.0–22.0; length of posterior tibiae: male 29.5, female 23.5; length of ovipositor 7.5–8.5; greatest width of ovipositor 3.5.
