Type:—Location of the holotype specimen has not been found. Isotypes in MIN (1271342), NY (35120) and S (F30739, 30740).
Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992).
Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Fimbristylis autumnalis (L.) Roem. & Schult. (Shi), F. littoralis Gaudich. (Kyu), F. longispica Steud. var. longispica (Kyu) , F. ovata (Burm. f.) J.K ern [= F. monostachya (L.) Hassk., Abildgaardia ovata (Burm. f.) Kral ] (Ryu), F. squarrosa Vahl (Shi), F. tentsuki (T. Koyama) Horiuchi (= F. dichotoma var. tentsuki T. Koyama ) (Kyu, Ryu), F. tristachya var. subbispicata (Nees) T. Koyama (= F. subbispicata Nees ) (Kyu, Ryu) ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992).
Notes:—This species has been reported from India, China and Taiwan ( Ito 1950, Tai 1979, Hiratsuka & Chen
1991, Zhuang et al. 1998).
