Type:— Lectotype is selected from specimens in SAPA, used for original description by Ito & Homma (1938) and designated here; II, III on Carex shimidzensis Franch. , Japan, Niigata Prefecture, Kodani, Kanazu, 19 August 1908, S. Ito, SAPA24006, [MBT10021341]. Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992). Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex shimidzensis Franch. (Hok, Hon) ( Ito & Homma 1938, Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992). Notes:—Life cycle of this species has not been determined.
