Puccinia caricis-rhizopodae Miura

Type:— Lectotype is selected from specimens in SAPA, used for original description by Ito & Homma (1938) and designated here; II, III on Carex rhizopoda Maxim. Japan, Kochi Prefecture, T. Yoshinaga, SAPA24005, [MBT 10021340]. Paratypes in S (F32552) and TNS (F113913). Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992) Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex rhizopoda Maxim. [= C. rhizopoda f. longior (Maxim.) Kük. ] (Shi) ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992). Notes:—This species has been reported from China ( Zhuang et al. 1998) .
