Type specimen information. Holotype, male, paratypes, TURKEY: Gümüşhane (Bayburt), Soğanlı Pass ( BMNH) (examined) (see below).

Material examined. See Table 1 View TABLE 1 . Additionally: 7M (holotype and paratypes), 3F (2 nymph, paratypes), TURKEY: Gümüşhane (Bayburt), Soganli Geçidi, 7-7500, 25.8.1960 (leg. K.M.Guichard & D.H. Harvey) (NHM, B.M.1960-364).

Distribution. This species is distributed in the euxinic vegetation belt of the Black Sea Basin mountains of Turkey in Bayburt, Trabzon and Rize provinces. Although it seems sympatric with P. davisi they have never been found syntopically (see above).
