Material examined. Holotype, female “Ceylon, Holotypus, Rhadinobracon luteus Szépl. 1906 des. Papp J. 1968, Hym. Typ. No. 891. Mus. Budapest, id 153169 HNHM Hym. coll.”
Redescription. Holotype, female, length of body 17.7 mm, fore wing 14.9 mm, ovipositor 19.7 mm.
Head. Antennae broken (in pieces) with 62 remaining antennomeres. Length of first flagellomere 1.6 × as long as second flagellomere. First and second flagellomeres 1.1 and 0.7 × as long as wide respectively. Maxillary palp 0.6 × as long as height of head. Height of clypeus: inter tentorial distance: tentorio-ocular distance= 1.0: 1.8: 1.9. Width of head: width of face: height of eye = 2.0: 1.1: 1.0. Face 0.6 × as long as wide. Malar space smooth, 1.7 × as long as basal width of mandible. Lateral temple 1.2 × as long as transverse diameter of eye; POL: diameter of posterior ocellus: OOL= 1.2: 1.0: 3.6. Length of eye 0.85 × as long as temple in dorsal view.
Legs. Ratio of length of fore femur: fore tibia: fore tarsus = 1.0: 1.2: 1.6. Lengths of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 3.3, 8.0 and 5.7 × as long as wide, respectively.
Wings. Fore wing pterostigma 3.6 × as long as wide. Fore wing vein r-rs: 3RSa: 3RSb = 1.0: 4.0: 5.1. Vein 2RS: m-cu= 1.0: 1.1. Lengths of veins 2RS: 3RSa:rs-m= 1.0: 2.4: 1.2. Second submarginal cell 2.3 × as long as wide. Hind wing SC+R 12.4 × as long as R; SC+R as wide as 1r-m. Subbasal cell evenly setose.
Metasoma. Metasoma 1.2 × as long as mesosoma and head combined. Tergite 1, as long as apically wide, 0.9 × as long as tergite 2. Tergite 2 0.8 × as long as apically wide. Tergite 3 0.7 × as long as apically wide. Ovipositor sheath 1.3 × as long as fore wing.
Colour. Body brownish yellow except antenna, eye, tarsal claw, fore and hind wing apical half, pterostigma apically, ovipositor sheath brown.
Male: Unknown.
Distribution. Sri Lanka.
