Material examined (11 exx.)
6 ♂♂, 3 ♀♀, ‘ China: Sichuan, Luding Co ., Hailuogou N. R., alt. 2800–3000 m, 23–24, vii.2006, J .-Y . Hu & L. Tang leg ., 四川省泸定县海螺沟自然保护区’; 1 ♂, 1 ♀, same collection data as the preceding specimens except ‘ 3000 m, 21 .vii .2006’.
Distribution
China: Sichuan ( Figure 10 View Figure 10 (h)).
Remarks
Pseudopsis gonggaensis is a member of the P. sulcata complex, based on external morphology ( Figure 2 View Figure 2 ). For now, this species is known only from the type locality at Hailuogou Nature Reserve ( Zerche 1998). Four of the seven available males were dissected to check the genital structures ( Figure 3 View Figure 3 (c,d)). This species can be readily characterised by the longitudinal row of large triangular spines lying along the left side of the endophallus. The epipleural carinae of the elytra are visible in the posterior half in dorsal view.
