Pseudomantis albofimbriata ( Stål, 1860) View in CoL View at ENA
= Hierodula dimorpha Werner, 1911 syn. nov.
Werner was apparently unaware of Stål’s P. albofimbriata when describing H. dimorpha , as the two were collected from nearby localities and are clearly conspecific ( Stål 1860; Werner 1911).
Also of note is that a translocated population of P. albofimbriata has been recently detected in Launceston, Tasmania ( Fearn 2018). Further small adventive populations are also present in Albany, Western Australia ( Kurniawan 2021) and near Adelaide, South Australia ( O’Neill 2021), and a single individual has been reported from near Hobert, Tasmania ( Baird 2022).
