Distribution in Iran. Golestan ( Wanat 1990; Legalov et al. 2010; Ghahari & Colonnelli 2012), Iran (no exact locality cited) ( Ter-Minassian 1972 as Apion aeneicolle ).
New material examined. Golestan province, Aq-Qala env., N 37 o 02‘ E 54 o 27‘, 11.v.2008, 1♂, 2♀♀, leg. & col- lection M. Košťál; Golestan province, Aq-Qala env., N 37 o 07‘ E 54 o 32‘, 9.v.2016, 89 spec., under Psylliostachys spicata (Willd.) Nev. (Plumbaginaceae) , leg. & collection M. Košťál.
General distribution. Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Mongolia, south European Russia, Saudi Arabia, „Siberia“, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
