Type data. Kulmak , 1500 m circa sulla Tomorica (catena del Tomor) dell’Albania meridionale [Kulmak, about 1500 m above Tomorica (range of Tomor) in southern Albania], three specimens all of which seem to be males .

Material studied. Lectotype, 1 ♂, here designated: (p) Albania, Tomorica , Kulmak , Ravasini, Lona, 1922 / red label (p) LECTOTYPE Pseudamaurops muellerianus (Ravasini) , R. Bekchiev des., 2019. ( MCST) . Paralectotype, 1 ♂, (p) Albania, Tomorica , Kulmak , Ravasini, Lona,1922 / red label (p) PARALECTOTYPE Pseudamaurops muellerianus (Ravasini) , R. Bekchiev des., 2019. ( MCST) . Additional material: 1 ♀ Albania mer., Tomor : Kulmak , Winkler , Lona, Bischoff, V. 1931 ( MCST) ; 2 ♂, same label ( NHMW) .

Redescription. Body slightly shiny ( Fig. 1a View FIGURE 1 ), reddish-brown, sparsely pubescent, covered with long golden setae; legs, antennae, and maxillary palpi slightly lighter, length 2.47–2.50 mm; maximum width of elytra 0.70–0.71 mm. Head slightly longer than wide, eyes composed of five or six ommatidia located around small lateral ocular spine; clypeus large, rounded; frons with large, deep, triangular excavation that is slightly prolonged anteriorly, forming blunt angle at apex; vertex elevated, forming small hump, with three well-defined carinae remote from margin of frontal excavation, extending two-thirds of head length, vertexal pits separated, remote from lateral margins; surface between carinae almost glabrous; antennae ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ) 1.21–1.23 mm long, scape cylindrical, clearly longer than wide, pedicle slightly longer than wide, antennomere III–IV as long as wide, V–VII longer than wide, VIII clearly transverse, IX trapezoidal with large median excavation, clearly wider than long, X also trapezoidal, with large excavation, wider than long, terminal antennomere asymmetrical, about 1.2 times as long as wide, with large basal excavation. Pronotum longer than wide, slightly shorter than head, with small triangular spines at basal third; lacking carinae. Median antebasal and lateral foveae well-defined. Elytra simple, as wide as long, about 1.4 times as long as pronotum, rounded at sides, widest at middle. Abdomen slightly narrower than elytra, first visible tergite (IV) large. Legs long and slender, simple, mesofemora with one big basoventral spine ( Fig. 2f View FIGURE 2 ). Aedeagus 0.30 mm long ( Fig. 3b View FIGURE 3 ).

Sexual dimorphism. Females in general smaller, with simple, unmodified antennae, mesofemora lacking spine.

Distribution. Albania

Note. The present redescription is similar to that in Hlaváč (2005), but differs by noting the presence of one big spine on the mesofemora on all examined specimens and by the shape of the aedeagus, which is slightly more slender than indicated by Hlaváč (2005, Fig.7–8).
