Subgenus Procalathus Jedlička, 1953

Third antennomere without pubescence. Mentum tooth bifid. Pronotal laterobasal seta removed from side margin. Lateral bead of prosternal process absent. Parascutellar seta absent. Elytra glabrous, with two discal setae in the third interval; discal setae absent in the fifth and seventh intervals. Elytral microsculpture nearly isodiametric. Metepisternum short. Male protarsomeres dilated. Lateral grooves present on metatarsomere I, absent on metatarsomeres II-IV. Apical gonocoxite short, robust, with one ensiform seta at external margin; sensory pit of apical gonocoxite represented by a very small depression. Aedeagus left side up in repose; median lobe apical disc absent; apical hook of long paramere absent; membranous lobe of short paramere present.
