Basionym : Eria parishii Lindl. & Rchb. View in CoL f., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 147, 1874. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State : Mawlamyine District, Parish 61 (holotype: K; isotype: W) .

Homotypic synonym: Pinalia parishii View in CoL (Lindl. & Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 679, 1891.

Specimens examined:— MON. Mawlamyine District : type; same loc., Parish 1 (icon. K); same loc., Parish 228 ( K). Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 77; as Eria parishii ), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Southern Myanmar and Thailand.
