Range: —Endemic to Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Rare, known from four Bolivian collections; epiphytic, in humid forests; 1500–2350 m.

Undetermined collection

Jiménez 1003 (UC), from Dept. La Paz, PN-ANMI Madidi, senda Keara-Mojos, desde Tokuaqe , antes de llegar a Chunkani ; epiphytic in humid forests; 2850 m; has rhizome scales 1–2 mm long, whitish to pale golden, marginally denticulate. This collection has only one sterile blade. It may represent an unnamed species, or it may be merely the sterile form (which often lacks forked veins in the segments) of M. blepharidea ; more study is needed .
