Notes: Pleurotheciella submersa was introduced by Luo et al. (2018) from decaying submerged wood in a lake, Yunnan Province, China. It is characterized by mononematous, unbranched, mostly 7-septate, dark brown at the base, pale brown to subhyaline towards the apex, cylindrical conidiophores, and subcylindrical, hyaline, aseptate conidia.
