Dimensions: 320.1 μm long, 24.0 μm wide; transverse striae 9 in 10 μm, diagonal striae 11 in 10 μm; raphe angle +16°.

Diagnostics: Valve robust, sigmoid. Areolae coarse. Raphe angle fairly curved

Comments: The robust valve size and raphe angle of the specimen match the type material of P. formosum examined by Sterrenburg et al. (2014).
