Plekocheilus nachiyacu Pilsbry 1939: 2 , fig. 1. Type locality: Ecuador, nachiyacu [corrected to Colombia, no precise locality; teste Clench and Turner 1962]. Holotype ANSP 170693. Plekocheilus Nachiyacu Pilsbry ; Richardson 1995: 317 (references).

Material. Ecuador, Napo, SE of Quito, between Baeza and Archidona, Nachiyacu [corrected to “ Colombia,” see above], ex Jackson: ANSP 170693, ANSP 424993.

Remarks. This species has been misinterpreted, probably due to the confusion caused by the interchange of type localities with P. oligostylus Pilsbry, 1939 , published in the same paper (cf. Clench & Turner 1962). It may turn out to be mixed in with P. coloratus (see remarks under that taxon).
