Material examined. 16♂, 2♀, Zeravshan res., deciduous wood, 39°38'N, 67°08'E, 24.v.1989, M. Barták; 12♂, 9♀, same locality, 21–22.v.1989, M. Barták; 1♂, 4♀, Samarkand, deciduous wood, 39°38'N, 67°08'E, 24.v.1989, M. Barták; 5♂, 5♀, Samarkand, along river Zeravshan, 39°38'N, 67°04'E, 22.v.1989, M. Barták; 1♀, Samarkand, 2 km E, pasture, 39°39'N, 67°01'E, 22.v.1989, M. Barták ( CULSP).
Remarks. Platypalpus farabiensis was previously known only from the type specimens taken from two localities in Turkmenistan ( Shamshev 1998). The species is recorded from Uzbekistan for the first time.
