Range: —Disjunct in dry valleys from northern Peru to Bolivia (LP).
Ecology: —Rare to locally common (in the Tuichi valley); epiphytic in semihumid forests of rain-shadowed inter- Andean valleys, mostly on branch bases and high on tree trunks, occasionally lower down; 1000–1100 m.
Notes: —Large “nests” can be 2 m across, with 1–2 m long, pendent fertile leaves.
