Report: [1] Touleshkov (1960b). Host: Pyrrhocorax graculus (L.)* [1]. Distribution in Bulgaria: Lakatnik (Sofia Region), Rila Mountain – Malyovitsa [1]. Remarks: The species is known as parasite of Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax (L.). Philopterus dumani Price &

Hellenthal, 1998 has been described from Pyrrhocorax graculus (L.). Since the material examined by

Touleshkov has not been available in his collection, the identification of the lice reported as P.

thryptocephalus cannot be confirmed.
