Remarks. Common and widely recorded western Atlantic shrimp, ranging from North Carolina southwards to São Paulo ( Brazil), including much of the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico ( Vieira et al., 2012); occurs in a wide variety of habitats, intertidal to 73 m.
